Technical Tester
We are looking for a technical QA tester; someone who’s not afraid of the command line and understands basic client/server testing. The ideal candidate will know how to install and use a *NIX based operating system like Linux or Opensolaris. Can you build a Linux box, configure it to be a webserver and write shell scripts to make your life easier? If so, we might have a job for you!
A strong knowledge of java is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Daily hands-on functional testing
- Write up bug reports
- Run regression tests as directed by the Test Lead
- Provide feedback on the games fun and intuitiveness
- Monitor server status while testing
- Help track down technical details for bug reports
- Run automated stress tests
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years QA/Testing experience
- Working knowledge of Linux or Opensolaris
- Knowledge of Java development a huge plus
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and SQL
- Familiarity with XML
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
